Game

Round 3

The Magpies have made three changes to the team that took on the Adelaide Crows in Round 1.

Captain Darcy Moore and defender Jeremy Howe will make their first appearances of the 2026 season on Friday night after the pair overcame calf injuries.

As announced on Wednesday, ruck Oscar Steene will make his long-awaited AFL debut against the GIANTS.

Hailing from South Australia, the 201cm tall arrived at the Club in the 2022 off-season to trial for a Supplementary Selection Period (SSP) spot for the following season.

Now in his fourth season in black and white since officially signing on in February of 2023, Steene will take his first step onto an AFL field in Round 3 as the Pies return from the bye.

Across 37 games for Collingwood’s VFL side, Steene has booted 19 goals and averaged 14.4 hit outs.

The three omissions to the team are defender Wil Parker, midfielder Ed Allan and forward Jack Buller.

The trio will be the Magpies’ emergencies for the clash.

Veteran Jack Crisp has been selected for his 259th game for Collingwood, moving him past Dane Swan and into the top 10 for games played for the Pies.

It will bring the midfielder’s games tally to 277 after 18 matches for the Brisbane Lions.

The match is set for Friday 27 March at 7:40pm (AEDT) at Marvel Stadium. The game will be broadcast live on Channel 7, 7+, Fox Footy and Kayo Sports.

Tickets are still available for the clash, with level one and three seats just $27! Get your tickets here.
