Collingwood can provide supporters with several injury updates now that the preseason has recommenced in the calendar year.

After it was announced that Ben Reid was sent to Germany to receive treatment on his persistent muscle strains, the club can inform supporters that Darcy Moore and Alan Toovey have both experienced minor setbacks to their 2015 campaigns.

Moore has suffered a minor injury to his big toe on his left foot.

The father-son recruit will wear a boot for three weeks after which the injury will be reviewed. The treatment is deliberately conservative and the club doctors do not expect any long-term problems with the injury.

Meanwhile Toovey suffered a minor injury to his left calf muscle while running during his Christmas break. He will follow a modified program for the next two weeks before he returns to full training.

Collingwood Media will continue to update supporters on the team’s progress throughout the preseason.
