Collingwood has today accepted Nathan Freeman’s request to be traded.

Freeman was recruited with pick No. 10 in the 2013 National Draft but played just four VFL matches and no senior matches in his two injury-riddled years at the Holden Centre.

Collingwood General Manager of List Management, Derek Hine, said Freeman believes that a fresh start may rekindle his career.

"Given the significant investment in Nathan, we will be exploring trade scenarios that are in the very best interests of Collingwood," Hine said.

Collingwood will make no further comment.
