Keep it quiet, but we’ll be making history this Saturday.

When the first ball is bounced at the MCG, Collingwood will become the first club in VFL/ AFL history to play 2500 games.

No club is within cooee of the Magpies’ record (Carlton sits in second on 2461 games), and we have the legacy of 177 finals games to thank for it. The Pies are 38 games ahead of the Blues when it comes to counting September appearances.

The best way to celebrate the achievement? A win over Essendon this Saturday.

We wouldn’t say no to that.
