Collingwood Football Club has made a further two changes to its football program, with High Performance Manager Bill Davoren and Development Coach Anthony Rocca not offered contracts for the 2018 AFL season.

It follows the departure yesterday of Assistant Coach Scott Burns.

Davoren joined the Pies in 2013 after three years with the Western Bulldogs and a season at St Kilda Football Club.

Rocca began his coaching pathway with the Collingwood VFL program following his retirement from a 242-game AFL career in 2009. Two years later he was promoted to the role of Academy Coach with the AFL program.

General Manager of Football Geoff Walsh thanked Davoren and Rocca for their contribution to the Pies.

“Bill brought experience and knowledge from both his football and athletics backgrounds to the high performance team over the past four years and we thank him for his commitment to the role during that time,” Walsh said.

“Anthony has had a great impact at this club as both a player and coach and has most recently played a role in the development of some of our young talent such as Brodie Grundy and Darcy Moore.

Anthony Rocca served as a development coach after retiring at the end of the 2009 season.

“We thank Bill and Anthony and wish them and their families all the best in the future.”

Brenton Sanderson and Robert Harvey will continue to support senior coach Nathan Buckley in their roles as assistant coaches.

Tarkyn Lockyer will continue his work with Collingwood’s youth in an expanded Academy role.

Jared Rivers, who has taken the Collingwood VFL team to the finals in his first season as VFL coach, will also remain.
