Howe incredible, his best yet? Jeremy Howe takes flight and pulls down one of the Mark of the Year contenders.

Jeremy Howe has signed a three-year contract extension with Collingwood, tying him to the club until the end of the 2021 season.

The spring-heeled defender has been rewarded for an outstanding season across half-back, leading the club for marks (181).

A recognised leader on and off the field, Howe has also been appointed to the leadership group for the second year running.

Season 2018 will be Howe’s third at Collingwood, having been traded from Melbourne after five years.

The 27-year-old polled fourth in the Copeland Trophy and missed just one game in an impressive campaign.

General Manager of Football Geoff Walsh said Howe’s best football was still ahead of him.

“Jeremy is in a strong position to play an important role in the club’s success in the future,” Walsh said.

“We’re looking forward to his contribution over the next four years.”

Howe joins a host of Magpies locked in to long-term deals, with teammates Adam Treloar and Steele Sidebottom also signed on until 2021.

Others to have recently agreed to extended contracts include Scott Pendlebury, Brodie Grundy, Mason Cox and Brayden Maynard.
