Collingwood has welcomed five new additions to its AFLW coaching line up for season 2022.

Former AFL defender Michael Hartley has joined the Pies as a specialist coach and runner.

Hartley played 49 AFL games throughout his career with Essendon and Hawthorn.

Recently retired ruck and former Pies’ AFLW vice-captain, Sharni Norder will also return to the program as the Leadership and Culture Mentor. 

Additionally, the program has welcomed three coaches through its Female Coaching Acceleration Program (C.A.P).

The program aims to invest in our upcoming female talent and develop their coaching knowledge and experience in preparation for future positions in Australian Rules Football High Performance coaching roles.

Melbourne University assistant coach, Bronte Ryan arrives at the Holden Centre alongside Kate Cattanach and Marie Napoli.

Ryan is the former head coach of Fitzroy, while Cattanach currently serves as an assistant coach with NAB League side, the Eastern Ranges.

Napoli has previously spent time as an assistant coach with Carlton’s VFLW program. She will also be a part of the Pies’ VFLW coaching staff for next season.
