Collingwood father-son selection Nick Daicos has delivered in spades in his first three games for the club, earning a round three NAB Rising Star nomination.

He has been producing dazzling performances since his round one debut (27 disposals, seven intercepts, three score involvements) and finished Saturday's game with 26 disposals, nine contested possessions, six score involvements and a goal of his own.

There's a palpable sense of anticipation in the stands whenever he has the pill - which is often. He's notched up 75 disposals for the Pies so far this season, second only to Pat Lipinski (77).

Every touch is put to good use - his ability to read the play is staggering and he hits targets with stunning accuracy.

The No.4 pick has been a force in the middle and across half-back and should be a favourite to take out the award.
