Collingwood will make two forced changes ahead of this Sunday’s clash against Gold Coast.

De Goey and Hoskin-Elliott were absent from the main training today but are a chance to play on the weekend.

“We’ve had a little bit of gastro go through the place, a couple of coaches have been down this week too; now Will (Hoskin-Elliot) and Jordy but hopefully in the next 24 hours they’ll all be a bit better,” McRae said.

“As everything at the moment, everything is a little bit sensitive around illness, so if anyone is showing any signs of anything, we keep them out of the place.”

Grundy and Kreuger have been supported by the team after sustaining long term injuries last round.

“We have a couple of good role models; Ash Johnson and Charlie Dean have been in rehab and can’t play for a considerable amount of time but their attitude has been unbelievable,” McRae said.

“We just talk about what we have and what we don’t have and at the moment those guys have opportunities to improve in some parts of their game.

“Brodie and Kreugs are really fresh to their injuries so there’s a little bit of time to work through that but the way the other two lads have been sensational as role models is great.”

With both Grundy and Kreuger out, Mason Cox and Aiden Begg are in the mix this week.

“Begg is certainly impressing. His form in the VFL has been really strong and he has improved considerably,” McRae said.

“I never through he’d be in the position to be considering his name in round seven. It shows his growth and the work that Josh Fraser has done in the development team has been sensational.”

Fly believes it’s unlikely that both Cox and Begg will both come into the side.

“We want to attack the game with a bit of speed, so it is unlikely,” McRae said.

The conversation is starting in regards to the mid-season draft and Fly is open to it.

“Absolutely. If you can better your list, the fans would love to see that too. The conversation is starting,” McRae said.

“Players are getting opportunities when they aren’t getting opportunities at other clubs which can benefit your club.”

“The fans would love to see it; there’s the excitement of teams trying to get into finals. It could give a really good spectacle to the whole game.”

“If you create a really good environment, players won’t want to leave. People would want to play for your club.

“We’re trying to create that in our four walls.

“This is a really open and honest and safe environment to be the best version of themselves. That might attract others from other clubs if we can continue to do that.”

On the Sun’s, Fly believes the Suns will bring their best to the MCG on Sunday.

“They are very competitive. I think last week the score line was a bit flattering. I think their contested game is stark,” McRae said.

“When they win, they have a really strong contested game and that stands out."

In the absence of Grundy, Darcy Cameron will get an opportunity to be in the ruck a little more.

“Witts dominated against the younger ruckman against Carlton and really got the game on their terms, so we have got to get to work. We don’t have certain things, but we have other opportunities."
