Collingwood has today welcomed Billy Frampton who has signed with the Club from the Adelaide Crows.

Frampton swaps horizontal hoops for vertical black and white stripes as a part of a deal that saw Collingwood’s Future Third Round Selection head to the Crows.

Frampton arrives at the Pies following three seasons with Adelaide where he made 21 AFL appearances.

Originally from Western Australia, the 25-year-old was drafted in 2014 to Port Adelaide where he spent five seasons before being traded to the Crows in 2019.

Frampton thanked the Crows for the past three years.

“I’d like to thank the Adelaide Crows for my time at the Club and for coming to an arrangement with Collingwood,” Frampton said.

“The Pies are building something great and under the guidance of Craig McRae, I’m really looking forward to playing a role at Collingwood.”

Collingwood GM of Football Graham Wright said Frampton has qualities that will fit in well with the current squad.

“We are pleased to welcome Billy to the Club,” Wright said.

“Billy’s height and versatility are quality attributes that we think add to our list and the exciting part with him is he is yet to reach his football potential.

“At 201cms tall, he is able to play a multitude of roles including down back, ruck, and up forward.”
