Jeremy Howe was the only Pies player to poll votes in the AFL Coaches' Association Champion Player of the Year award after Saturday night's loss to West Coast at the MCG.

Howe received two votes after performing well in the backline.

Eagles players Andrew Gaff and Jamie Cripps topped the voting.

Every round, the AFL coaches vote for the best players from their game. The coaches vote for five players, giving them a mark from 1-5. The maximum a player can score is 10 (with five votes from both coaches).
