Craig McRae has selected his team to travel to Tasmania for our first offical practice match against Hawthorn on Thursday evening. 

There are several notable inclusions into the side, with new recruits Billy Frampton, Bobby Hill, Dan McStay, Tom Mitchell and Oleg Markov all a part of the squad. Draftee Jakob Ryan will also travel with the team as an emergency. Brayden Maynard suffered an abrasion during last week’s match simulation against Carlton which became infected. He won’t participate in Thursday night’s game as a precaution.

After last weeks competitive hit-out against Carlton, Fly and the boys are looking forward to another challenge before all eyes are set to Geelong in round 1 just a few weeks away. 

This will be the first official contest led by new captain Darcy Moore. It will also be great to see Reef McInnes in the squad after an injury interrupted what was looking like a promising 2022 season.
