COLLINGWOOD has won its seventh match in a row, defeating North Melbourne by 35 points to cement its spot at the top of the ladder.

The Pies had plenty of contributors in Steele Sidebottom’s 300th game despite the milestone man himself being subbed out early in the 16.9 (105) to 10.10 (70) contest.

Jordan De Goey (35 disposals, one goal), Nick Daicos (32 disposals, one goal) and Josh Daicos (18 disposals, three goals) were instrumental as the Pies re-established themselves as premiership contenders.

Mason Cox kicked two goals in his 100th game, while Brody Mihocek booted three.

While the game was always on the Pies’ terms, the Roos gave the game a real shake in the final term.

Collingwood took a 53-point margin into the final change, leaving many spectators to pencil in a huge final margin, but North put in a respectable effort to pare the difference back to just 35 points by the final siren.

Nick Larkey kicked three of his five goals in that final term, while midfielder Hugh Greenwood (25 disposals, 10 tackles, 10 clearances) was important in the engine room.
