Collingwood’s General Manager of Women’s Football Jess Burger welcomed today’s draw.

“The confirmation of the 2024 AFLW fixture is exciting for both our program and the Magpie Army,” Burger said.

“We’re thrilled to return to our spiritual home of Victoria Park for four home games this season. Not only are we looking forward to the opportunity to play games on some of the biggest and best stages for AFLW including IKON Park and Punt Road Oval, but we’re also excited to see the Magpie Army come out in force at these stadiums.

“Our Round Five game against the Gold Coast Suns at Punt Road Oval on Grand Final Eve is a fantastic opportunity to showcase women’s football on one of the biggest days on the AFL men’s calendar. This is a fantastic opportunity for the Magpie Army to get amongst all the footy festival action including our match within our sporting precinct.

“With the fixture now confirmed, our AFLW program can now narrow the focus for the season ahead, with a strong intent to how we attack season 9. The program will look to continue to paint the picture with deliberate actions to support our pursuit for sustained success.”

Collingwood’s AFLW program will officially return to the AIA Vitality Centre for pre-season training next Monday, June 3.
