Collingwood midfielder Jordan De Goey will return to face the Brisbane Lions on Thursday night at the Gabba.

De Goey missed the Magpies’ Gather Round match against Sydney due to ankle and Achilles inflammation.

After playing the first five games of the season, forward Tim Membrey has been managed and will be omitted from the side, with the 30-year-old named as an emergency alongside Oleg Markov and Mason Cox.

The Magpies tactical substitute will be named 60 minutes prior to the first bounce and will be selected from the extended bench.

The clash with the Lions will also mark Jamie Elliott’s 200th AFL game. Elliott has wowed fans throughout his 199 games so far with his high-flying marks and exciting goals.

Elliott debuted in Round 9, 2012 against Adelaide at Football Park after being drafted by the Magpies in 2011. Elliott was initially pre-listed by the GWS GIANTS, before being on traded to Magpies.

The 32-year-old is also only five goals away from securing his 300-goal milestone.

After notching up his 100th AFL game last weekend, ruck Darcy Cameron will celebrate another achievement against the Lions when he hits his 100th Collingwood game.
