The 29-year-old replaces fellow defender Wil Parker who has been named as an emergency for the Pies' Round 10 AFL clash with Kuwarna on the same day.

Parker's call up to the AFL squad comes off the back of a strong block of games at VFL level, including a Coach's MVP performance of 28 disposals in last week's win over the Northern Bullants.

Saturday morning's clash against the Giants is an important one for the sixth-placed Pies, coming up against a side who are currently undefeated in 2025.

The Pies have had a steady start to the season at 4-2, with one of those losses coming via the Brisbane Lions scoring after the siren in their Good Friday clash.

Charlie West and Riley Mason will continue to be focal points in attack, having combined for eight goals last week and 32 goals for the season.

2018 Brownlow Medallist Tom Mitchell will again line up as he ramps up his playing time on return from long-term injury. The midfielder racked up six clearances from 10 disposals in a half last weekend.

The 10:05am start will allow Pies fans to watch both the VFL and AFL sides, with the AFL game kicking off at 1:20pm at the MCG.
