19-year-old Will Hayes will become Collingwood player number 1198 when he makes his AFL debut this Saturday night against North Melbourne.

Taken with pick 56 in last year’s AFL draft, Hayes has impressed across 7 VFL games so far this year, where he has averaged 10 disposals and a goal a game.

A small forward with exquisite skills, his most impressing outing was on Good Friday a little over a month ago, kicking three goals against the Brisbane Lions.

Hailing from Western Australia, Hayes’ draft moment was beautifully captured from his family home, with the video subsequently going viral.

180cm forward celebrated his 19th birthday only six days ago, with Thursday's news of his debut continuing the celebrations.

Hayes' first appearance is on Saturday evening at Marvel Stadium, with the first bounce at 7:35pm (AEST).
