Collingwood has made two changes to its VFL side for Saturday night’s clash with Casey at Misson Whitten Oval. The Magpies will feature three AFL premiership players among its 13 AFL listed players for the clash.

Former Brownlow Medallist Tom Mitchell, tall Mason Cox and speedy defender Oleg Markov are the three Premiership players that headline the side.

Second year AFL listed defender Tew Jiath returns from a foot injury, while VFL listed forward Harrison Kennedy also returns.

The pair replace Oscar Steene and Will Hayes who have been called into the AFL squad for Monday’s Big Freeze at the ‘G clash against Melbourne.

Jiath returns after recovering from the plantaris irritation sustained during training last week that saw him miss the Magpies’ Round 10 win over Box Hill.

Saturday night’s game will be Collingwood’s second under lights for 2025 after a 31-point win over Essendon in the Anzac Weekend clash at ETU Stadium.

The clash will be the second time mid-season draftees Roan Steele and Noah Howes will feature in black and white, after being selected at Pick 8 and 15 respectively in last week’s AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft.

The pair both impressed in their club debuts last week against Box Hill with Steele gathering the ball 24 times on the wing, while Howes competed hard for his 7 disposals and 2 down in the forward line.

The Magpies are the designated home side for the clash under lights at the neutral venue in Footscray.

DeBolfo, Tovey, Seivers, Dowling, Murphy and Mahoney will be the emergencies.
