Collingwood co-vice-Captain Brayden Maynard will be a Magpie for life, after signing a four-year contract.
The new deal will see Maynard, affectionately known as ‘Bruzzy’, in black and white until at least the end of 2029.
A heart and soul player, throughout his 218 games for Collingwood, Maynard has established himself as a formidable defender who embodies grit, loyalty and passion.
Loved by the Magpie Army for his spirited approach, Maynard said he couldn’t wait to keep running out in front of the Club’s passionate fans.
“I’m incredibly proud and excited to be wearing the black and white for another four years,” Maynard said.
“I love this Club. From the players and staff to our incredible fans, everyone contributes to making Collingwood the Club it is.
“To the Magpie Army – it’s a privilege to represent you each week. No matter where we play, you show up in force with passion and loyalty, and I can’t wait to keep running out in front of you for years to come.

Maynard was selected by Collingwood with the 30th pick in the 2014 AFL Draft, going on to make his AFL debut in Round 14, 2015.
Since then, Maynard has become a key pillar of the Magpies’ defensive unit and played a pivotal part in the Club’s 2023 AFL Premiership.
Reflecting his stature within the league, Maynard was also awarded an All-Australian blazer in 2022 and has claimed two R.T.Rush Trophies (Copeland Trophy Runner Up Award).
General Manager of List and Talent Strategy Justin Leppitsch celebrated Maynard’s recommitment to the Club.
“Everyone at our Club universally loves Brayden, but especially his teammates. He is a heart and soul player who leads from the front in every aspect,” Leppitsch said.
