Collingwood has beaten Williamstown by 11 points in a shootout at DSV Stadium thanks to 12 individual goal scorers.

The Seagulls had the momentum early, dominating possession across the first quarter. Cam Polson of Williamstown kicked the first of the afternoon before the Magpies' Harry Mahoney kicked Collingwood's first off the back of some great team play.

The 'Gulls took a 5 point lead into the first break.

Whatever Collingwood Coach Andy Otten said at quarter time worked, as the Magpies burst out of the blocks in the second term.

Mid-season draftee Noah Howes was the shining light, kicking three goals in three minutes to completely swing momentum in Collingwood's favour as the Magpies took advantage of the infamous breeze at Point Gellibrand.

The 196cm product out of South Adelaide ended the game with four goals, his second highest tally of the year, and was crucial in the Magpies win.

A nine goal to three second term in favour of Collingwood followed by a seven goal to three third term in favour of Williamstown was a summation of the game, with the blistery conditions aiding both teams when in attack.

Although the Seagulls dominated possession (382 disposals to 259) and marks (134 to 51), the Magpies' ability to hit the scoreboard when it counted with Oscar Steene and Will Hayes both kicking final term goals to give Collingwood an 11-point win.
