The Collingwood Football Club has released the Collingwood Community Foundation’s 2025 Community Impact Report, highlighting the powerful reach of our programs under the A Nest for All and Barrawarn pillars.

In 2025, Collingwood partnered with an independent expert to conduct a comprehensive Social Return on Investment (SROI) analysis. This assessment was designed to measure the real-world impact of the Club’s programs and to quantify the value created for every dollar invested.

The outcome was positive; the Foundation’s programs have delivered significant measurable impact. The Social Return on Investment (SROI) for the Nest For All programs generated an overall social value of $4.92 for every dollar invested. These programs include the Magpie Nest Café, Magpie Nest Housing, the Wheelchair Football Program, the Collingwood Magpie Community Football Team and the FASTA Footy program.

The Barrawarn programs delivered $5.31 in social value for every dollar invested. These programs include the Club’s Tennant Creek Cultural Immersion experience, the Pavilion School Koori Program and Magpie Minds.

This strong result is among the industry’s highest and showcases the Foundation’s commitment to creating meaningful impact through empowering individuals, strengthening communities, and ensuring everyone has a place to belong. We have brought these values to life in the 2025 Community Foundation Impact Report.

Collingwood CEO Craig Kelly said:

“The outcomes highlighted in this report are a testament to the Club’s collective care and commitment to supporting the communities around us,” Kelly said.

“Each program – from housing support to community engagement and cultural connection – creates an impact that goes beyond financial measures. When someone has a safe place to sleep, shares a warm meal or gains confidence through sport or education, it can change the direction of their day and in some cases their future.

“I want to thank our community partners Coles, Nike, Primo, Brendan Nottle and the Project 614 team, alongside our valued donors and Collingwood Members, for their contributions and ongoing support.

“I also want to acknowledge our staff, players and volunteers who give their time to make these programs possible and to every Collingwood Member and supporter who generously donates to the Collingwood Foundation – every dollar makes a difference.

“On behalf of everyone at Collingwood, we remain absolutely committed to continuing to invest in these important programs.”
