Collingwood has completed a trade with North Melbourne that will see Ariana Hetherington become a Magpie.

In exchange for Hetherington, Collingwood will provide a future third-round pick to North Melbourne.

Hetherington joined the Kangaroos during the 2024 AFLW Trade Period, following two seasons with Fremantle in 2022 and 2023.

At 179cm, Hetherington can impact games as a key forward, key defender and in the ruck.

Executive General Manager of Women’s Football Jess Burger said she was delighted to welcome Hetherington to the black and white family.

“We are pleased to welcome Ariana to Collingwood and look forward to seeing her strengthen our team next season,” Burger said.

“Ariana brings versatility and gives us great confidence in the impact she can make across the field.

“She has shown strong athletic ability and is an ultimate competitor. We’re excited for the opportunity to work with her as she transitions into our program.”
