Collingwood Football Club thanks Tom Wilson for his time in the black and white, after the AFLW Assistant Coach advised the Club that he has accepted the position of AFLW Senior Coach at Melbourne Football Club.
Wilson joined the Pies ahead of the 2023 season as a VFL-listed player, and in June 2024, he was appointed AFLW Head of Development and the side’s Midfield Coach.
Following an accomplished 15-year VFL playing career - highlighted by 176 games and the achievement of VFL Life Membership - Wilson announced his retirement from playing at the conclusion of the 2025 season.
Executive General Manager AFLW Jess Burger congratulated Wilson on his appointment.
"On behalf of everyone at Collingwood, we share our congratulations to Tom on his appointment as Melbourne's AFLW Senior Coach," Burger said.
"In his time at the Club, Tom has bought leadership, expertise, dedication and deep care to our VFL and AFLW programs and the wider Club. He has invested deeply in our players, our people and leaves a positive impact on the Club.
"We wish Tom and his family all the best in this next chapter."
