2025 draftee Angus Anderson will make his AFL debut this Friday night in Collingwood's Gather Round clash against Fremantle.

The 22-year-old will return to the scene of his Best on Ground performance in last year's SANFL Grand Final for Sturt for the clash at Adelaide Oval.

Anderson, who was taken with pick 57 is last year's draft, has started his career in black and white with two strong performances in the midfield in the Pies' two VFL games so far.

He led the way in last week's Good Friday victory against Coburg, collecting 28 disposals and kicking a goal.

Anderson is the Pies' second debutant this year after ruck Oscar Steene debuted a fortnight ago in Round 3 against GWS.

Collingwood National Recruiting Manager Shane O’Bree was full of praise when Anderson was drafted in November.

“When you watch Angus play football, there is a lot of heart in his game,” O’Bree said.

“Watching his journey as a footballer has been fulfilling.”
