Two star players have been named in Collingwood’s VFLW side to take on the Northern Territory Thunder at Victoria Park this Saturday.

Making her first appearance in the stripes is former AFLW Carlton captain Brianna Davey.

Since signing with the Pies in April, the 24-year-old midfielder has been heavily involved with the group and has played a key role in the VFLW coaching box.

Chloe Molloy will also make her long-awaited return to the field after battling the lisfranc injury she sustained in Collingwood’s VFLW preliminary final against Geelong last year.

Also to debut is former Thurgoona Bulldog, and sister of Collingwood AFL rookie Max, Sally Lynch.

Playing her first VFLW match of the season is Collingwood AFLW speedster Sarah Dargan.

With the two teams being key contenders throughout the 2018 season, both just fell short in the finals.

In their past two encounters, both teams have split the points, claiming a victory each.

Collingwood will arrive at its home ground with back-to-back wins to its name, while the Thunder will make the trip down to Melbourne after a bye in round three.

This week the Thunder will be coached by senior assistant Ricky Nolan, as head coach Heidi Thompson attends an Under 18 NT Thunder Academy commitment.
