Strong wins to the Club's AFL and VFLW teams have headlined the weekend's action for Collingwood.

The AFL side got home over Port Adelaide to the tune of 26 points, largely on the back of some Nick Daicos and Jordan De Goey heroics.

The pair collected 41 and 26 disposals respectively, with De Goey kicking three majors as well to continue his strong 2026 campaign.

The debut of first-year star Sam Swadling was also a highlight of the night, with the skilful Western Australian working his way into the contest well.

The 19-year-old finished his maiden game at the top level with 18 disposals and a brilliant goal on his left foot, much to the delight of his teammates.

Tim Membrey (three goals) and Lachie Schultz (two goals) also impressed, while veteran Steele Sidebottom returned to the side with 25 touches.

The night before, the Pies’ VFL side played out a Friday night thriller against Frankston.

In a back and forth contest, the Pies held a 17-point three-quarter time lead to take control of the match, however a Dolphins comeback saw them finish one-point winners.

Charlie West finished with three goals, while VFL-listed midfielder Josh Browne impressed with 25 touches.

Both of the Pies AFL and VFL sides will take on Richmond this Saturday.

The Club’s VFLW team meanwhile continued their winning ways on Saturday, taking down Essendon by 53 points at Windy Hill.

Racing out to a 35-2 half time lead, the black and white gained ascendancy from the outset of the match and never let it go to continue their undefeated start to 2026.

Amelia Peck was again one of the standouts, kicking four majors from 17 touches, while skipper Dom Carbone collected 25 disposals and found the big sticks twice.

Now 5-0, the Pies will take on Tasmania for the first time in the VFLW this weekend, with the Devis registering their first win in the competition on Saturday.

The Club’s two Wheelchair teams were less fortunate over the weekend, both going down by five goals.

Each taking on Richmond, the Pies went down by 30 points in the Championship Division, despite some strong play from Anthony Perito and Ben Jankovski.

The margin was 33 points in the Community Division, with Andrew Paddle and Jack Eliott the strongest players.
