Collingwood have claimed their fourth VFL win of the season with a dominant 70-point win over Richmond at La Trobe University.

The Pies kicked 14 goals in the second half to secure the victory.

The Tigers were the first to strike, kicking their first major in the opening three minutes of the clash.

Mid-season draftee Mitch Podhajski levelled the score 50 seconds later, kicking his first of the afternoon with a soccer-like strike, skidding past two defenders and almost making Podhajski look equipped to be named in the Socceroos next FIFA World Cup clash.

The Tigers held much of the momentum following, however were only able to convert on one extra occasions despite having six attempts.

The Pies weren’t much better, unable to capitalise on their ample chances to take the lead from the opposition, instead trailing by five points at the break.

It was a different scenario in the second term however, with Podhajski picking things up yet again to slot his second before quickly finding his third within the half.

2025 draftee Tyan Prindable also added a major – his fourth of the season – while ruckman Iliro Smit also kicked his first of the afternoon.

Defender Wil Parker was solid in the backline with a team-high seven marks in the first half, while Jakob Ryan, who’s putting together an impressive season, ended the half with an equal team-high 16-disposals.

Angus Anderson was prolific in the third, securing 10 disposals, five clearances and two goals in the term to help spur on the black and white.

Charlie West also had two third term majors, along with singles to Nick Thompson and Zac McCarthy to extend the Pies’ lead to 33 at the final break.

Collingwood’s hot streak in front of goals continued in the fourth quarter kicking five straight goals – including two to midfielder Lachie Sullivan – to finish the match as 70-point winners at La Trobe University.
