Collingwood has made three changes to their VFL side to face North Melbourne at Marvel Stadium on Friday.

Roan Steele headlines the inclusions for the Pies, with the winger set to play his first VFL game of 2026.

With 20 AFL games under his belt since being selected in last year’s mid-season draft, Steele has played every possible game since Round 24 last season bar last week’s clash with Gold Coast where he served as an emergency.

Coming in alongside Steele is VFL leader Max Mahoney and off-season recruit Josiah Landy, a graduate of 2025 Talent League Premiers Eastern Ranges who will make his VFL debut under the roof at Marvel Stadium.

Making way out of the side is AFL-listed tall Iliro Smit, who entered concussion protocols after sustaining a head knock in last weekend’s VFL loss to Brisbane.

Midfielder and reigning Harry DeMattia Collingwood VFL best and fairest winner will also come out of the side due to injury.

Nick Thompson rounds out the omissions for Collingwood.

Zavier Maher, Liam Hude, Michael Lewis, Harry Mahoney, Jake Watts and Xavier Laverty will serve as emergencies for the clash.

Collingwood’s VFL clash against North Melbourne will serve as a curtain raiser for the AFL side’s Round 18 clash against the Roos.

Gates 5 and 9 will open at 3:15pm for the VFL curtain raiser, set to start at 3:25pm AEST.

A valid ticket to the AFL match will be required for entry to the VFL clash.
