Collingwood has made three changes for Saturday night’s Round 19 clash with Carlton at the MCG.
Experienced defender Isaac Quaynor returns to the team after recovering from the ankle soreness that has kept him sidelined for the Pies’ last two matches.
Quaynor will be a welcomed addition to a Pies defence missing veteran Jeremy Howe, who hasn’t recovered from the hip and groin soreness he experienced in the last quarter of Collingwood’s win over North Melbourne.
After being managed for last week’s game, forward Harvey Harrison has been recalled for his sixth game of 2026.
Returning from an ACL rupture in the Pies’ Round 12 clash with the Western Bulldogs, Harrison enjoyed a season-best game in his most-recent outing, collecting 16 disposals and a goal against Gold Coast.
Rounding out the inclusions, key forward Charlie West has earned a recall to Craig McRae’s team for his first AFL match since Round 11 against West Coast.
It will be the 20-year-old’s fourth appearance at AFL level, who has booted 47 goals from 21 VFL games since arriving at the Pies with pick 50 in the 2024 National Draft.
Forward Lachie Schultz will miss the clash after sustaining an ankle injury in the second quarter of Collingwood’s win over the Kangaroos.
Scans have confirmed a low-grade syndesmosis injury. The 28-year-old has commenced his rehabilitation this week with the aim to return to play in two to four weeks.
Key forward Jack Buller (omitted) rounds out the Pies’ changes.
Buller will join defender Wil Parker and midfielder Lachie Sullivan as Collingwood’s emergencies for the clash.
Utility Jack Crisp is set to play game 292, drawing level with former Bulldog and current Collingwood Assistant Coach Matthew Boyd in third position for the most games by a player off the rookie list.
Saturday night’s clash will be the 270th match between Collingwood and Carlton, with the ledger narrowly in the Pies’ favour with 136 wins and 129 losses.
The Pies come into the clash with the recent wood over the Blues, winning the last five match-ups.
The match is set for Friday night at 7:35pm (AEST) at the MCG. The game will be broadcast live on Fox Footy and Kayo Sports.
