Collingwood veterans Travis Varcoe and Ben Reid will enter their 14th seasons in 2020, the pair among five Collingwood players to re-commit to the club for the upcoming campaign.

With three premierships between them, Varcoe will enter 2020 with 221 games at Geelong and Collingwood under his belt, while Reid notched up his 150th game in the team’s preliminary final loss to GWS Giants.

Tim Broomhead, Rupert Wills and Jack Madgen have also agreed to new one-year deals, with Broomhead remaining on the rookie list and Madgen as a Category B rookie.

“Travis and Ben are stalwarts of the club, they’ll continue to bring their experience to our mix and we hope to see their form continue from 2019,” Collingwood List Manager, Ned Guy, said.

“Tim’s worked hard in the VFL to return from the injury that cut his 2018 season short, while Jack and Rupert were able to come in and play their role for the team late in the season. We’re hoping that another 12 months will give them the opportunity to have an even greater impact.

“With Jamie Elliott, Brayden Sier and Will Kelly also signing on this month, we’re pleased to see our 2020 list take shape.”
