The opponent, venue, time and date of Collingwood's Wildcard Final has been confirmed.
The Western Bulldogs will host Collingwood in the Wildcard Final Two on Friday 28 August at the MCG, with the game set to start at 7:40pm AEST.
The Pies will play the Bulldogs in the inaugural Wildcard Final after the Bulldogs defeated Melbourne by 21-points at the MCG on Saturday evening to secure eighth spot on the ladder.
The Western Bulldogs' win means Collingwood finish the 2026 home and away season in ninth place on the ladder, with 12 wins and 2 draws.
A Wildcard date with Carlton remained a possibility, however, the Dogs' victory denied fans of the opportunity to see the arch-rivals go head to head in a final for the first time since 1988.
It will be the first time the Pies and Dogs have faced off since Round 12 where the Dogs were victorious by four points at Marvel Stadium.
An 37 disposal performance from Nick Daicos wasn't enough as an inspired Bulldogs team took the four points.
The two teams last met in an AFL Final 17 years ago in the 2010 Qualifying Final - a year where the Pies went onto break a 20-year premiership drought.
That game was played in front of 66,545 fans, as the Pies booked their place in the Preliminary Final with a 62-point victory.
Former Bulldogs Captain Matthew Boyd has had a significant impact on the Pies' midfield in 2026, playing a key role in the development of rising star Ed Allan.
