Collingwood’s Nick and Josh Daicos have been recognised for their 2026 campaigns with selection in the 2026 AFL All Australian Squad of 46.
Averaging 34.9 disposals, 5.7 clearances and nine score involvements in 2026, Nick has continued his stellar career in 2026 that is now in its fifth season.
The 23-year-old played all bar one game during Collingwood’s home and away season and finished with 24 goals alongside his impressive midfield numbers.
Josh meanwhile played all 23 games and averaged 27.2 disposals, 5.9 marks and a disposal efficiency of 78.2 percent.
Deployed primarily across half back in 2026, the 27-year-old has been an important cog in Senior Coach Craig McRae’s side.
2026 is the third time in the past four seasons that both Daicos brothers have made the extended All Australian Squad.
Both made the final team in Collingwood’s premiership year of 2023, while Nick made the team in 2024 and 2025, and Josh the extended squad in 2025.
It is Josh’s fourth time in the extended squad after making it in 2022, 2023 and 2025, while Nick has made the final team the past three years and is now hunting a fourth consecutive blazer.
The pair are this week preparing for the Pies’ maiden Wildcard Final on Friday night against the Western Bulldogs at the MCG, with details of the clash including ticketing confirmed by the AFL on Sunday evening.
The final team of 23, as per the criteria established in 2007, will be selected as if to play a match. The team will be named on Tuesday, 25 August, as part of the AFL Awards, which will be broadcast live on Fox Footy and Kayo Sports from 7:30pm.
