As many as seven Magpies could return to the line up for Sunday's Round 3 clash with Hawthorn after the squad was announced today.

Lauren Butler, Charlotte Brewer, Dom Carbone, Georgia Knight, Zara Neuwirth, Liv Lewis and Sabrina Frederick have all been added to the squad for the game against the Hawks, with some big names ruled out.

Having made her Club debut in last week's match against Fremantle, Maisie Nankivell was this week put on the sidelines for 8-12 weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury in the game.

Violet Patterson will also miss this week's clash, after receiving a one-match ban for a dangerous tackle on Dockers opponent Gab Newton.

Mattea Breed experienced abdominal discomfort following the Magpies’ Round 2 match and underwent an appendectomy earlier in the week and therefore will be unavailable as she recovers. 

Tall Imogen Barnett will also miss through injury. 

That will make for at least four changes to the Pies' side, with the final team to be named at 5pm on Friday.

The Round 3 contest at Victoria park will see the Pies host their Indigenous Round festivities, with the first ball up scheduled for 3:05pm.
