Lauren Butler has been named for her first game of the season in the Pies’ Round 3 Indigenous Round clash on Sunday afternoon at Victoria Park.
The defender has overcome a calf complaint that saw her sidelined for Collingwood’s opening two games of the season.
Joining Butler in the inclusions is former AFLW Hawk Dom Carbone, who after collecting 23 disposals on limited minutes in the Pies’ VFLW clash last weekend has been recalled to the side.
Sabrina Frederick will also make her return to the field, with the 29-year-old to take the field for the 94th time on Sunday afternoon.
Rounding out the inclusions is Charlotte Brewer, with the winger set to play her first AFLW game at Victoria Park after making her debut in Round 1.
Former Hawk Mattea Breed comes out of the side, with the midfielder undergoing an appendectomy earlier in the week.
Last week’s Club debutant Maisie Nankivell will also miss after the defender sustained a hamstring injury against Fremantle, while ruck Imogen Barnett has also come out of the side due to injury.
Violet Patterson also misses the clash after the second year Pie was handed a one-match suspension following a rough tackle in last week’s clash.
Zara Neuwirth, Georgia Knight and Olivia Lewis will serve as the emergencies.
Sunday marks the first week of the AFLW Indigenous Round, with plenty of activations and entertainment for the Magpie Army to enjoy at Victoria Park.
Collingwood are also holding a donation drive for the women’s centre in Tennant Creek, Northern Territory, with the Magpie Army encouraged to bring along unused toiletries, towels, bed sheets and women’s and children’s clothing to the donation drop off at Gate 1.
Collingwood’s Round 3 clash with Hawthorn will be broadcast live and free on the Seven Network, along with Fox Footy, KAYO Sports and Binge from 3pm (AEST).
