The Collingwood Football Club is pleased to announce it has made a significant investment into the Club’s spiritual home ground, Victoria Park, investing $3 million to redevelop the oval’s playing surface.
Victoria Park is home to Collingwood’s AFLW, VFL, VFLW and Reclink teams and partnering community football teams.
Works on the playing surface will commence later this year and are due to be completed by mid-March, 2027.
Currently, Collingwood together with the AFL, continues to invest resources into the playing surface each week to ensure it meets AFL regulations – prioritising safety, quality and accessibility for all levels of football.
Collingwood Chief Executive Officer Craig Kelly said:
“Victoria Park is an historic ground for the Collingwood Football Club, community football and the local community.
“Investing in Victoria Park remains a key priority and pillar for our football club and our partnership with the Yarra City Council ensures Victoria Park remains accessible to everyone.
“Our plans always commit to supporting the community and a full redevelopment of the playing surface ensures the ground will support all traffic and programs, grassroots to elite, across the course of a year.
“As part of this significant investment, the Club, in conjunction with the AFL, will be responsible for maintaining the playing surface once the works are complete.
“We will continue to invest in our ovals and facilities from our heartland at Victoria Park to our headquarters at the KGM Centre in Melbourne Park.
“We look forward to more football being played across our two homes.”
Collingwood’s final home game at Victoria Park for the 2026 AFLW season will take place this Sunday, when the side hosts Melbourne in Round 8. Tickets for the clash are available here.
