The Collingwood Football Club today announced an EBITDA (Earnings before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation) result of $1,656,235 (2016 – 1,694,221) for the financial year ending October 31, 2017.

The result was a reflection of unwavering membership support, with our membership tally increasing to 75,985 (2016 – 74,819).

An exceptional suite of premier partners in CGU, Holden, Emirates and La Trobe Financial and a strong performance from the club’s Glasshouse facility were also major contributors to the result.

As a consequence, the club continued to invest strategically in its football departments and more broadly in female sport, with teams representing Collingwood in the newly formed elite national Super Netball and AFLW competitions.

The result also enabled the club to continue to explore ways it can improve the member experience and reward the loyalty of the biggest supporter base in the game.

Collingwood President, Eddie McGuire, described the result as a credit to the ‘Forever’ commitment of its members and fans.

“Our seasons didn’t deliver the success we all hoped for but the Collingwood members certainly delivered for their club,” McGuire said.

“Without them we could not stand on our own two feet, independent and proud of who we are. I know that in 2018, on and off the field or court, we will repay the faith.”

As the club has previously advised supporters, each year Collingwood will continue to depreciate the value of the Glasshouse and redevelopments of the Holden Centre.

The final declared statutory result for the 2017 financial year is a loss of $2,732,624 (2016 - loss of $2,622,623).

The Collingwood Annual General Meeting for the 2017 season will be held on Tuesday 27 February, 2018, at the Glasshouse.  Full details of the AGM will be communicated to members before Christmas.
