Collingwoodfc.com.au has published a photo gallery highlighting the latest works at the new Olympic Park oval. A feature of the recent development is the oval's new cover of lush green grass after it was covered in dirt for several months, while a new retaining wall has been built at the southern end of the ground which will no doubt help to ensure that the likes of Travis Cloke and Quinten Lynch don't send the ball out of the ground and onto the freeway once the team begins training.

Collingwood is located in the heart of Melbourne's sport and entertainment precinct. The pictures below illustrate just how close the club is situated to other major sporting landmarks in the area.

Photos from the President

Eddie McGuire was out for dinner in the city last week when he noticed two sporting grounds with their lights blazing near the railway line - the MCG and Olympic Park. As you would expect, the President quickly whipped out his phone and captured the moment as the new lights were tested.
