The Collingwood players and coaches will travel up the Maroondah Highway to visit Healesville on Monday morning for the club's annual Australia Post AFL Community Camp.

The Magpies will be involved with the Healesville community, carrying out training sessions and visiting local community hubs on February 18 and 19.

Premiership defender Harry O’Brien says that he and his teammates enjoy the yearly opportunity to take the game to the community in regional areas.

“We recognise that grassroots footy and the community are the lifeblood of our great game,” O’Brien said.

“AFL clubs have played a great role in the success of the Australia Post AFL Community Camps and we love the interaction with the many football fans across the country.

“The Camps are a great opportunity to help grow the game, and we are looking forward to visiting the people of Healesville.”

O’Brien and other Collingwood players will be at a dinner at Rochford Wines on Monday 18 February as part of the club’s Community Camp.

The evening will feature live entertainment, the Coodabeen Champions, sports memorabilia, auctions and prices, dinner with the Collingwood players and celebrity guest speakers.
