Collingwood suffered a disappointing defeat at Casey Fields on Sunday afternoon.

The Demons made a fast start to boot the game’s first three goals in the opening minutes and never looked back, eventually winning by 63 points.

The improved in the second and third quarters but the score blew out in the final term as Jared Rivers shuffled the magnets to test some players in new roles.

Alex Woodward was again prolific with 34 disposals. Josh Daicos worked hard all day in support to finish with 24 touches, but the Pies were beaten around the ball by a hungry Casey outfit.

Matthew Scharenberg was the next-best Pies ball winner with 20 touches. Scharenberg played all four quarters in his second game back from injury.

Ben Reid was starved of service but presented well in his return to the VFL side and ended with two goals.

The Pies will look to regroup during next week’s bye before traveling to face Footscray in round 12.
