On Wednesday Collingwood players were treated to a special address from Aron Ralston , whose experiences are depicted in the six-time Academy Award nominated film '127 Hours'.

Ralston is in Melbourne promoting the film, directed by Danny Boyle and starring James Franco, and was at Village Cinemas Crown on Wednesday to talk to the Magpies and meet captain Nick Maxwell before the team enjoyed a private screening of the remarkable mountain climber's story.

Maxwell presented Ralston with a 2011 Collingwood playing guersney with the number '127' on the back.

The reaction of some of the Collingwood players speaking to CTV and on Twitter afterwards sums up how they rated the film.

Nick Maxwell (@maxy_5) wrote: "Lucky enough to meet Aron Ralston (His Book- "Between a rock & a hard place". Movie- "127 hrs"). Amazing story.

Scott Pendlebury (@SP_10) was clearly impressed: "127 hours. Blew my mind! Amazing movie. Must see"

Shae McNamara (@bigdyman) praised coach Mick Malthouse and the footy department for sending the group to the film: "@mickmalthouse N his staff are ingenious to make us watch 127 hours!!! Need motivation n or want to know what mental toughness is, watch it!"

Collingwood members simlpy have to present their 2011 membership card at any Village Cinema to receive a discount on admission prices, so take advantage of it today, and get along to '127 Hours' and experience Ralston's incredible story for yourself.
