The non-selected AFL squad didn’t have an opportunity to stake their claim in a practice match, but they were put through their paces during a modified match simulation on Thursday morning.

See who is a chance to be elevated to the AFL team for Sunday's clash with West Coast at Optus Stadium.

Darcy Cameron
Has been showing his contested marking ability and work around the ground during recent practice matches. Could get an opportunity for his third game in the black and white. Cameron has been a regular on the emergency list for the AFL team.

Josh Thomas
Carry over emergency for Geelong. Has impressed in each practice match up forward and through the midfield. A possibility to be a straight swap for the injured De Goey?

Brayden Sier

Knocking on the door for a few weeks. His physicality and ability to win the football could interest the selection committee this week.

Mason Cox
A late change meant Cox didn’t line-up in round seven. No doubt every chance to regain his position in the side for the Eagles.

Flynn Appleby
Kicked seven goals across two scratch matches. With no De Goey, could this be his chance?

Jack Madgen
Madgen has been providing very good leadership down back in the scratch matches, also listed as an AFL emergency for a number of weeks now.

Matt Scharenberg
Didn't get up for round seven with a rib issue sustained in the final quarter against Hawthorn. Every chance to be available this week.
