Collingwood’s Past Players Association is hosting an Anzac Day experience with all proceeds donated to the Heart of Collingwood, the past player’s welfare fund.
The day starts with a lunch at the Hilton Hotel (a short walk from the MCG) with premium wines, ales and spirits served.
Guests will be entertained by a host of speakers including Vietnam veteran, Mr Barry Heard. Mr Heard will draw upon his experiences during the war to honour pay tribute to the significance of the day.
Also in attendance will be former Collingwood icons along with a few current day list players.
Two-time premiership player, Murray Weideman is in support of the day and the cause.
“By attending “The Heart of Collingwood”” Past Players’ Anzac Day Luncheon, you are helping many former players receive medical treatment from injuries sustained through their playing days with the Collingwood Football Club.”
