Collingwood has appointed Troy Selwood to its recruiting and list management team.

Selwood will join the Magpies in mid-June with a role split between talent identification and list management.

The 37 year-old has spent the last four years working with Geelong as its talent ID manager. After retiring as an AFL player with Brisbane at the end of the 2010 season, and as a VFL player with Geelong at the end of 2013, Selwood developed his administrative skills with the Cats in football operations as their Academy and VFL manager.

He moved into recruiting under the stewardship of Stephen Wells in 2017.

“We have wanted to add an experienced and talented member to our recruiting and list management team, and Troy will be a welcome addition,” Collingwood GM of Football, Graham Wright, said.

“We look forward to him joining us and bringing his expertise to our program.”
