Collingwood's VFL side will take on Frankston on Saturday after not contesting an official match in 5 weeks.

The Magpies will be buoyed by the return of ruckman Max Lynch to the VFL after an outstanding stint in the AFL over the last 2 matches. Lynch has proven himself up to the standard of AFL, however with the return of Brodie Grundy from injury, will line up against Frankston ruckman Jack Berry.

Jay Rantall will also return to the VFL side after a stint in the AFL.The inside midfielder was playing fantastic football in the VFL before the COVID-19 hiatus, look for him to continue that form this weekend.

The 2020 draft crop will be on display at the Holden Centre with Finlay Macrae, Jack Ginnivan, Liam McMahon, Isaac Chugg and Ollie Henry taking the field.

Lachlan Tardew and Campbell Hustwaite will lead the VFL side after the VFL listed players weren’t able to train with the main group over the past month. The co-captains have returned to main training, putting in the hard work to maintain fitness over the break.

Frankston have had a strong season so far, sitting in 8th position with 4 wins and 3 losses from their 7 games. The Dolphins are coming off the back of an impressive victory against bottom of the table Northern Bullants by 29 points. Mitchell Cox the star for Frankston with an amazing game, 5 goals to go with 28 disposals.
