Collingwood defender Isaac Quaynor has been named in the AFL Players' Association's 22under22 team on Thursday.

The 21-year-old averaged 18.1 disposals, 6.2 intercept possessions and four rebound 50s across 20 games this season.

Quaynor has developed into a vital running back for the Pies and is named on the half-back flank in the side.

The initial 40-person squad, which was selected by the AFLPA with support from Champion Data, was narrowed to the best 22 players aged 22 and under, as voted by footy fans.

To be eligible for selection, players had to be aged 22 or younger for the entire AFL season, including finals, and played a minimum of 12 games throughout the 2021 season.
