Collingwood have made two changes for its final AFLW game of the 2026 season, with Mattea Breed (managed) and Kalinda Howarth (omitted) both coming out of the side.Â
First year Pie Maisie Nankivell was a test this week, however was unable to overcome her hamstring injury intime for the weekend.Â
Utility Amy Smith comes in for her second game of the season after making her debut in Round 1, making her one of 10 that game.Â
Cross-coder Ellie Brady will round out the inclusions, with the Irish debutant having been confirmed on Thursday morning.Â
It brings a poetic story to the Pies’ final game of the season, with Brady playing her first as Sabrina Frederick plays her last.Â
Announced earlier today, Frederick is retiring from AFLW football after 11 seasons, who made her debut in Round 1, in the inaugural AFLW season for the Brisbane Lions.Â
Going on to join then-expansion side Richmond before officially becoming a Collingwood Magpie in 2022, Frederick’s storied journey will come to an end on Sunday afternoon at Windy Hill.Â
Collingwood’s clash with Essendon will be broadcast live and free on the Seven Network from 1pm (AEDT), with first ball up at 1:05pm.Â
