It's official.
Nick Daicos joins the club after being selected as pick 4 at the 2021 NAB AFL Draft on Wednesday night.
The 18-year-old carries a name synonymous with the Collingwood Magpies and he is eager to represent the club he has loved since he was a kid. That is, after a brief infatuation with the Blues (hurts to type).
"When he was a young boy he had a soft spot for Carlton, which didn't sit too well," Peter Daicos said this week.
"At Collingwood games he would bring his Carlton flag along.
"We finally got him back the other way, I think that started to turn in 2010.
"There was always that underlying love for Collingwood."
Nick said to join the club was a dream come true.
"Collingwood has a rich history and I've grown up loving the club," he said.
"Collingwood has a big place in my heart.
"I have so many fond memories of going to Pies games every weekend growing up and I can't wait to pull on the guernsey."
Peter said he was delighted to finally see both of his sons run out in the black and white.
"It has been a long journey, so to officially get (Nick) into the fold is really nice," he said.
"The boys have always been close and have always loved playing in the same team.
"Now they will have the opportunity to play together at Collingwood - as parents we couldn't be happier.
"The club is family for us. It has been a huge part of our lives."
In his NAB League matches Nick averaged 35.8 disposals and two goals and in his representative games for the Australian U18s team and Vic Metro he notched up 29 and 41 disposals respectively.
He captained the AFL Academy and Oakleigh Chargers and his elite footy IQ, clean skills and endurance made him a standout amongst his peers.
Daicos joins a mass of young talent assembled by the club and is Collingwood's fourth first-round selection in the past 12 months.
