Casey Demons took control of the game early, with the final result 5.6 (36) to Collingwood's 3.11 (29).

Sitting on top of the ladder, Casey was always going to be a tough competitor, however, the Pies were confident they had what it took to step up to the plate.

Collingwood were not as accurate in the forward line with eleven behinds which let them down in the end.

Their ability to work the ball across the ground was excellent and the team has been improving week by week. Whilst the result did not go their way, it was a tremendous effort to nearly get the four points against Casey.

Hannah Bowey was a stand-out on the wing, constantly finding space and creating opportunities for the midfielders and fowards. Katie Lee was also in her best form, scoring the goal of the match coming from the backline.

Joanna Lin and Jordan Membrey both had successful long awaited returns, and slotted into the team perfectly.

Olivia Meagher also made her return after a concussion in round one, making an impact and landing herself in the best six.

Collingwood will look to bounce back in round eight against Geelong. The match will be played at GMHBA Stadium, Saturday 9 April 11.05am.

The match will be live-streamed on the VFLW streaming platform, https://vflw.tv/.
