Collingwood has further consolidated its attack with Beau McCreery and Reef McInnes singing new deals with the club.

The two forwards have signed for a further two-years that will see them in the black and white until the end of 2024.

McCreery has played 15 games and kicked 14 goals since his debut in round three last year against Brisbane.

A timely re-signing, McInnes made his AFL debut last Saturday against Geelong. He managed 14 disposals.

Drafted in 2020, the 19-year-old has waited patiently for his AFL opportunity. The midfielder was rewarded following a standout performance in the VFL a week earlier with 15 disposals and two goals.

Today’s news follows the re-signings of Jack Ginnivan, Charlie Dean and Aiden Begg who recommitted to the club’s future yesterday.

Collingwood GM of Football Graham Wright congratulated the pair.

“We are pleased to reward both Beau and Reef with another two years,” Wright said.

“Beau has shown great promise at AFL level in his first 18 months at the club. His strength and playing maturity are beyond his years.

“Reef played his first game at AFL level last weekend and acquitted himself well. He’s a good size and has great speed and power.

“Unfortunately, Reef’s 2021 was frustrated by injury and his 2020 NAB Cup year was shut down due to COVID. With two years of setbacks, we’re wrapped with his development in such a short period of time.”
