Darcy Cameron shines

Cameron had an opportunity to make a statement in Brodie Grundy's absence and that he did. He grabbed four marks (two contested) up forward, kicked two early goals and had six score involvements. Sharing the ruck duties with Aiden Begg, DC had 15 hitouts, five clearances and was aggressive at every stoppage.

Josh Daicos hitting his stride

Daics was superb on the wing, kicking two goals from 20 disposals. "Josh is doing a lot right, he's attacking the ball and using it well," Craig McRae said in his post-match presser. "He's working hard and getting the best out of himself and playing good footy for the team."

Pat Lipinski's best Pies performance

The coaches' MVP finished with 30 disposals and 12 score involvements following his best game in the black and white yet. He's averaged 24 disposals, six score involvements, four inside 50s and eight contested possessions across the first seven rounds of the season and has established himself as one of our most important midfielders.

Brody Mihocek is ever-reliable

Seven marks, four goals and eight score involvements - the same outstanding stats Checkers puts up every week. He's consistently one of our key contributors and we love the way he goes about it.

Aiden Begg impressive on debut

Beggy started his AFL career with 15 disposals, four marks and very nearly an unbelievable first goal from long range. Coming up against one of the league's best ruckmen in Jarrod Witts, the 19-year-old held his own with an elite number of handballs (10) and three clearances.
